40. Optimistic Essentialism

Immagine
There is a crack between grasping an idea and articulating it <–> a gap that, for some, often proves insurmountable. The goal of persuasive public writing is not always to convert opponents; rather, it gives voice and structure to those who already agree but cannot find the right words. Public discussions are not scientific inquiries aimed at uncovering objective truth. They broaden human consciousness, and everyone should be welcome to participate to ensure the pluralism of opinions. We have, and always have had, many existential dreads. The more we discuss problems publicly, like a big family would, the sooner we will reach the root causes of crises and manage to overcome them. Let us gain clarity on AI once and for all, resisting the temptation to predict its evolution based on our apocalyptic fantasies nurtured in movie theaters. AI is part of our objective reality, just as a hand or a leg is part of our body: nothing more, but also nothing less. Blaming it for a ...

39. The Circus Of Quiet Desperation

Immagine
Pain, just like thought, is invisible, but oh boy, how real it is!  When we experience acute pain, we’re willing to do anything to find relief from the torment. Anyone who suggests we rise and grind at all costs seems evil in those moments, and only then do we realize that the current system of values has become unsustainable. Everything real, be it pain, a thought, or a trivial insulin spike, is imperceptible to the human eye, and that's frustrating. The backstaged kings, stripped of all known classical physical properties, are so nude they can barely be discerned at a distance. From this standpoint, suggestions to see the world as it is are embarrassing. We live in the world of practical illusion and special effects.  Welcome to the circus! The independent pre-social Tableau realism, the bedrock architecture of the universe, instills in us an idea of indispensable confidence in the future: an orange bowling ball of light rolls steadily from below the horizon ever...

38. The Uninspired Humanity

Life could be worse; you could be them. If you think about it deeply, this statement is terrifying. It gives me goosebumps. To overcome this feeling, I stop imagining myself in their shoes. What do we overcome when we overcome ourselves? Symptoms and conditions that interfere with our normal functioning. What is normal functioning? Proper distribution of energy. When a heatwave hits, everyone feels down. That's because we exist to radiate warmth, not absorb it. We want to play outside, but we have to stay in the shade to wait out the harsh weather conditions. The good news is that we can always find something to do in the shadows if we don't crave public attention. Desire is weakness. The elevated soul observes the situation from above: “Wow, the shadows can be interesting too, if you look closely.”  A person capable of self-transcendence isn't someone who, after overcoming their own whims or problems, finds themselves in a better position. They're not, with...

37. Do You Really Think?

Immagine
“A lot of people become unattractive when you find out how they think.”  I can’t help but agree with this statement. When I share my true thoughts, my potential friends scatter in all directions. I value good friendships based on discussions about wisdom, the nature of life, learning new things, and achieving rationality, because I believe they are essential not only for stability and survival but also for directing our attention toward optimization, growth, and improving our performance. I sound like an annoying fly attracted by the carbon dioxide exhaled by my interlocutor: “I require right now that you explain to me what justice means to you. Outline freedom. Let’s discuss it to synchronize our mental settings.” My friend and I must be in harmony with the principles of justice and freedom to avoid misunderstandings. If these abstract concepts aren’t defined, they seem unimportant. Will they set a boundary if I refuse to go to their birthday party without justificatio...

36. Personal Matrix

Immagine
In case you are wondering what I'm doing now, I'm making up my mind. My whole life, I’ve been unable to fit into any matrix. Perhaps I'm an undiagnosed neurodivergent person and can't read the room, but I don't want to be part of a system that drains my nerves, my wallet, my mind. What is there to read, really? Endless gossip by the coffee vending machine, half-assed commitment to the duties, and stupid company parties. I see no path to self-actualization in such environments. Please, fire me. No problem, there's a line outside the gate for your position. People are cheap nowadays. Sigh. Such a culture is a potential weapon of mass destruction because it diminishes the value of the individual and increases the domination of the crowd. No matter how innocent it may seem initially, it slowly but inexorably pushes the masses toward the complete acceptance of the logic of approval to exclude THEM for the sake of OUR salvation. When there are a hundred of...

35. Lift Me Up Adultfood

Immagine
While everyone is sure we live on planet Earth, I'm low-key horror-struck that we live on a crude pastiche cake of omniscience, composed of multiple inordinate layers of different creams of dubious origins, chaotic chocolate shavings throw-ins, suspicious unpeeled candied fruits, covered with fluorescent icing and various questionable nut crumbles, with insalubrious marzipan flowers and marshmallows on the top.  This queasily overwhelming sucralosity of our static reality amazes a capricious gourmet like me with its absurdity and raw complexity. We just happen to be crawling like microscopic beings on the surface of this facsimile cake, nipping off as much information about the world as we can digest. Ultimately, we become passive and apathetic from consuming this processed joy of cognition, yet remain absorbed by consumerism because this high-fructose imitation has low nutritional value and can’t satisfy us. Rather sooner than later, our serotonin receptors turn off. L...

34. Secret Modern Tendency

Immagine
Secretions are glands that secrete fluid. Before starting this topic, I thought about what kind of secret would interest me really for real, but I haven't come up with anything exhilarating. The world is so saturated with revelations that my imagination fades at the word "secret." We, as a society, are in a downward spiral of awe at the great revelations and sensations. I imagine a skier skiing down a snowy slope: the arrowy wind of information garbage tickles his rosy cheeks, yet he's infinitely happy with his own high-speed glide. He's oblivious to everything and everyone in the News hotbed and just enjoying his soaring experience. We’ve been bombarded with breathtaking disclosures day after day for many years, and we no longer get excited when someone tries to feed us their "shocking" comestibles. Nowadays, you have to be at least a groundbreaking comet like Atlas to seriously attract public attention for a few weeks: everybody is busy wit...
